Former WWE Writer Signs With The Rock’s Production Company, Plot For Another New Dave Bautista Movie

According to Deadline.comGuardians of the Galaxy star and former WWE Superstar Batista is signed on for another new film called Bushwick. 

The news comes after Batista (Dave Bautista) was announced to co-star in Marauders with Bruce Willis and Christopher Meloni. The synopsis for Bushwick is as follows (via Deadline):  

It follows 20-year-old Lucy (Levy) and war veteran Stupe (Bautista) during a domestic crisis as Texas tries to secede from the U.S., with NYC being used as a negotiation tool. Lucy and Stupe meet during a military invasion of Brooklyn and together decide to cross the treacherous five blocks of Bushwick — littered with looters, local militias, the invading forces and one crazy cousin — in order to get home and be reunited with Lucy’s grandmother.

The Rock

Deadline is also reporting former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz has been named Senior VP of TV Development for The Rock’s Seven Bucks Production company.

Gewirtz has been with SBP as a creative consultant since 2013; The Rock said the following about his friend’s promotion: 

“Brian and I have had a saying for the last 15 years, every time we work together which is “Let’s knock this outta the park” and we’ve been lucky enough to hit a few bangers that are still sailing.”
