ESPN’s WWE Off The Top Rope Recap: The New Day Talks Togetherness Trombones and More, Coach Lists Top Rumble Moments (Videos)

new-day-0.pngThe following is a recap of tonight’s WWE Off The Top Rope segment on ESPN featuring WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day. 

Jonathan Coachman welcomes the group to the show and they do a chant, then they talk about working together to take over. Xavier Woods says Coach should apologize for not having them on the show first, then they brag about their tracksuits and merchandise. 

Coach segways to talk about the New England Patriots and Kofi Kingston being a fan, and he says he loves the team but it’s not his greatest motivation. Kofi says he wants to win the Royal Rumble as highlights of his best Rumble moments play, then Big E talks about Mark Henry being the strongest in WWE ‘back in the day.’ Big E says Henry’s time has passed, then Woods says claps and gets a mini trombone after Coach says he used to play in school. Woods then gets a bigger trombone, but it’s out of tune, so he calls for a third, and they all lose it after he plays a tune. The New Day ask why they didn’t get a gift from Coach, and he says the gift was getting to be on WWE Off The Top Rope this week. The New Day keep talking about blessings, and Coach thanks them for their time and Woods plays the segment to a close on the trombone and screams to show this on air.
