Jimmy Korderas & Bill Apter React To Daniel Bryan’s Announcement That He Is Retiring Tonight On RAW

WZR Apter KorderasYou can find the full audio as well as some transcribed quotes from both Jimmy & Bill below:

Jimmy on the chances that Daniel Bryan goes and wrestles for a company like New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring of Honor once his contract with WWE comes to an end:

JK: I am not pivyed to his exact medical record so I don’t know the exact extent and what Dr. Maroon is looking at. We keep hearing about other doctors where he has, “passed the test,” so to speak. I am just trying to look at all the angles. We hear about the doctors who have allegedly passed him and cleared him to compete but were there other doctors that are on the side of Dr. Joseph Maroon? Ones that we haven’t heard about? Ones that say that Dr. Maroon is correct? It may be a split down the middle. It may be a matter of just how different doctors interpret his medical condition. That being said, if I were running New Japan or ROH… and this is me personally, I can’t speak for other people… knowing what I know and that WWE would not let him compete in the ring or perform in the ring. I would be hesitant to bring him in because God forbid anything were to happen on my watch. I would be totally responsible. You can say, “Well, it’s Daniel Bryan’s decision.” Yeah, but you precipitated that situation to happen. I hope that he would contact others. The one phone call I hope he made was to Edge

Bill’s reaction to Daniel Bryan’s announcement that he is retiring:

BA: This is big breaking news and all I can say is… I know you’d like a quote… all I can say is… there’s going to be a lot of people sleepless in Seattle tonight. All over the world when they hear this. I think the chants of, “NO! NO! NO!” are going to be louder than they ever have before. Depending on his physical condition if he’s been cleared he doesn’t want to get hurt and take a chance and get hurt again. He’s had a storied career. I have known him since he first started as Bryan Danielson in the indies. All the way through Ring of Honor and his incredible ride in WWE. If it is indeed the end of his ring career I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him. Not as an in-ring performer.
