According to Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com, former WWE World Champion Batista was offered a role in the legends segment which took place at WrestleMania 32, and featured Mick Foley, Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels.

As noted, Vince McMahon and Batista met at the Royal Rumble this year, and that’s when Vince pitched the idea to Batista, which The Animal ended up turning down. Despite previous reports that Vince might have wanted Batista to special guest referee the WrestleMania 32, that was reportedly never in the works.

Batista has instead been busy filming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and was just announced as one of the cast members in the upcoming “Blade Runner” sequel.
