Singer Chris Warren, who is best known in the pro wrestling world as the singer of the D-Generation X theme song, passed away on Sunday at the age of 49. Christopher was born in Huntington, Long Island, NY on May 27, 1967.

Warren performed live at WrestleMania 14 in 1998 and again at SummerSlam that same year at Madison Square Garden. At the time, Warren’s WrestleMania performance was heavily criticized as he sang a rendition of “America the Beautiful” in what was considered a disrespectful, almost screaming tone. The criticism subsequently lead WWE to edit out his performance on the home video and WWE Network versions of WrestleMania 14.

Warren also performed Sean “X-Pac” Waltman’s theme, the intro for the late 1990’s edition of WWF Superstars, and Triple H’s “My Time” theme song.

Warren also provided some music for TNA Wrestling in 2007, and his obituary can be found at this link.
