According to Battle-News.com, The WWE Tokyo live event on July 1st dtew 8,506 fans while the July 2nd show drew 8,764 fans. Depending on the configuration, this could have been close to a sell-out. When non-WWE promotions run Ryougoku Hall, the venue typically holds around 10,000 fans.
Cody Rhodes Talks Feeling “Less” in WWE
As noted, Cody Rhodes attended the “Heroes & Villans” fan fest over the weekend and during his appearance he announced he will be appearing on the next season of “Arrow” starring his SummerSlam opponent Stephen Amell.
During the appearance, Rhodes conducted his first post-WWE interview with Dave Solo of the Walker Nation podcast, and below is what Rhodes had to say on the final days of his WWE run:
“I was in Greensboro and that’s where my dad and Ric [Flair] had to get on the radio, in fans cars, and tell them that the event was sold out for Starcade. I thought ‘Here I am looking at this Stardust outfit in my bag…I feel like I’m less than I am and no amount of money is worth being less than I am.”
