Paige WWE Suspension

I posted quick reaction on Upgruve.com to the news of Paige being suspended for a second time. Here’s an excerpt:

My opinion from the outside looking in is this looks like a girl who got really famous at age 21 who is growing up in front of a worldwide audience and that growth includes mistakes.

At 24, she’s got a lot of time and potential left in her career that is if she doesn’t get suspended again. Per WWE’s policy, three strikes and you’re out.

I also mention the recent headlines with Alberto Del Rio and the controversy with that. CLICK HERE to read the rest of the reaction.

Big WWE Storyline

Upgruv.com also had my thoughts on WWE No Mercy where one of the high points was a storyline that is not going away.

Dolph Ziggler won the Intercontinental title from The Miz and I’m shocked.

I didn’t give much chance to him winning based on a lot. The Miz is doing his best work ever and that’s including having been in a WrestleMania main event involved with John Cena and The Rock. Now, perhaps that means he doesn’t need the title anymore, but I worry the loss was for nothing.

Dolph Ziggler is a great talent, but we have a lot of precedent to believe this Ziggler title win won’t be anything that moves the needle. With the talent he has and the amount of title runs he’s had in length of time with the company — he’s been vastly underutilized in booking.

All of this said, seeing more of Ziggler is good but I’m not more invested than ever with pressure on the company to give me the most memorable use of Ziggler.

But let’s acknowledge the biggest story that is The Miz continues to mock Daniel Bryan. Wrestling 101 says this doesn’t continue to happen unless there is a payoff. Bryan called Miz “safe” in his style, wouldn’t safe be what you wanted if you’re going to get one more big money making night out of Bryan in the ring?
