Backstage News on WWE Raw Cruiserweight Division, Talents Who Are Expected to Be Permanent, Is WWE Still Weighing the Competitors?

According to F4WOnline.com, while WWE did strictly weigh the talents for the Cruiserweight Classic over the summer, WWE is reportedly not weighing the talents for the Raw Cruiserweight Division.

In related weight class news, Brian Kendrick was billed at around 150 pounds during the CWC but he was announced at around 170 pounds on Raw last night. Dave Meltzer speculated that the cruiserweight changes on Raw are likely a Vince McMahon thing, as he had nothing to do with the CWC but of course is still strictly running the show on Raw.

As noted, Noam Dar was backstage at last night’s Raw but was not used. WWE does have plans to use Dar in the Cruiserweight Division, but it’s unknown when he will make his TV debut.

With regards to permanent Raw Cruiserweight talent, it’s believed that Ariya Daivari, along with Sin Cara, will be a part of the division going forward. Tony Nese and Drew Gulak, who competed on Raw last night, are still appearing regularly for EVOLVE, as part of WWE’s talent exchange deal with WWN Live.
