On if he’s happy with the decision he made to leave NXT and what his new life is like as an independent contractor:

SC: First of all, I never regret anything I do. You’ve known me for years. I’ve made some bold choices in my life but I will stand by every choice that I’ve made and I will one day face judgement for the things I have done. That’s here nor there. I create my own future now. I have that tattooed on my chest now for a reason, “I create my own future.” I am not a person who can just settle for a paycheck and be the second best. I want to be the top guy wherever I am. If I had to leave just to show them why they hired me in the first place and why a 5’10” kid can draw money and connect with an audience then so be it. If I get back to WWE, great. If I don’t I will live and die going down as me rather than being something I’m not.
