Earlier today, Ember Moon is speaking with reporters. Moon says she is ready to face Asuka. Ruby Riot interrupts and says Moon and Cross have had their chance. It’s Riot’s time now. Riot walks away. Moon says anyone who decides to step in the way of her war path can get it.
Backstage, Drew McIntyre says tonight’s title match is going to be fantastic. The next time we have this conversation we will be talking about McIntyre’s title match. McIntyre lists previous NXT champions. When they won the title they were looked at as the men to lead this business into the next millennium. McIntyre says he has to join that lineage. The interview notes that other like Killian Dain have expressed interest in winning the NXT title. McIntyre responds that it doesn’t matter who it is. Being NXT champion is his destiny.
Backstage, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce complain that no one got Kay anything for her birthday. In the background, Andrade “Cien” Almas argues with Thea Trinidad. When asked who the woman was that Almas was arguing with, Almas calls her crazy and walks away.
Last week Bianca Blair defeated Aliyah in a Mae Young Classic qualifying match.
