It’s ‘Complicated’ In The Latest Being The Elite (Video), USA Network Now Allowing F-Bombs On TV

Get The F Out

Several outlets including BuzzFeed and Slash Film have noted increased amounts of swearing, including dropping ‘f-bombs’ are now being allowed on USA Network and Syfy.

According to the reports, cable networks aren’t necessary required to stick to the guidelines issued by the Federal Communications Commission, but did so due to wanting to please advertisers. Now, it is being said USA and Syfy (both owned by NBC Universal) are working with a stance that more explicit language, including the word ‘fuck’ will be allowed if it is “deemed important to the style or plot of a show”.

This shouldn’t really affect anything on WWE programming since they are a TV-PG company, but it was worth noting. Some people had believed WWE was moving back towards a more ‘edgier’ product with the inclusion of the words ‘bitch’ and other sensitive language, but it could just be a sign of the times, and language is used similar to the network’s new approach for when it is deemed ‘appropriate’.
