On tagging with Deangelo Williams at Slammiversary XV:

M: I’m good friends with Deangleo and Eli Drake and Chris Adonis were being jerks so I called someone who I really trust to help me out. He has a passion to someday become a wrestler so why not do it at the biggest show for our company?

On if we will see Deangelo Williams wrestling full time any time soon:

M: I don’t know. I don’t think he would ever do it full time because he doesn’t want to wrestle full time. He just wants to dabble in it here and there. At some point it may see him back but it won’t be a full-time thing.

On MMA fighters joining the ranks of professional wrestling:

M: It’s good. Matt Riddle has shown that it’s possible and he is probably the best one from that world to come into professional wrestling. I think it’s great. Crossover is great taking fans from the MMA world and bringing in is great.

On full-time wrestler being upset about losing spots to entertainers/MMA fighters:

M: Ah if you bust your ass for your company you don’t have to worry about someone coming in and taking your spot. I don’t think Roman Reigns or John Cena is worried about Floyd Mayweather coming in and taking one of their spots. If you work hard it doesn’t matter who the company signs or who they bring in.
