On wrestling legends criticizing current wrestlers work style and calling them dangerous:

M: I try not to get into the old school vs new school stuff. Everyone is going to have an opinion. Everybody has opinions. There is no facts in anything anyone says especially when it comes to wrestling. Wrestling is an opinionated thing, so I try to stay away from it. Hopefully, Cody’s (Rhodes) eye gets better. I did see the scar/cut…

On being criticized for being a big man who works small at times:

M: I mean, I hear it. I don’t comment on it. I try to stay away from it. I was told by one of the best wrestlers on the planet, AJ Styles, that there is no book that tells you how to wrestle. There is no facts on anything when it comes to wrestling. It is all opinionated. For example, I had a match and I talked to two guys who are going to probably be future Hall of Famers and they critiqued it completely different and contradicted each other. That just proves that wrestling is opinion and not real facts.

On his feelings towards Sami Callihan after the ball bat incident with Eddie Edwards:

M: Wrestling, what we do, freak accidents happen. My only beef with the whole thing is how Sami carried it. Like making t-shirts out of it and all that bullshit. I lost a little respect for him over it. I haven’t spoke to Sami since he started making t-shirts about it and all that crap. I am sure I’ll see him somewhere and we will have a conversation about it.

On why all roads seem to lead back to Moose vs Eli Drake and putting up his Feast or Fired world title shot on the line against Drake:

M: It’s just my luck… We have our cases on the line and I am very confident I will come out on top. I’ve never lost to him and I don’t plan on losing to him now.
