The Saga of Daniel Bryan
Reaction: This was the moment that Daniel Bryan deserved. First off, his match with Triple H was absolutely fantastic. It may have been one of my favorites matches in recent memory. They had it all: technical wrestling, physicality, intelligence and a smart pacing of the match. They did not rush anything and let the dramatic elements take over. Bryan picks up the win and heads into the main event. Triple H makes sure he smashes a chair onto the arm of Daniel Bryan before he leaves. It was a great cliffhanger and made so much sense. Bryan, Orton and Batista laid it all out during the main event. Orton looked smooth and calculating, especially when he targeted Bryan. Batista looked a little sloppy at times, but made up for it with some spinebusters and Batista Bombs. The Batista Bomb into an RKO through a table was a holy s**t moment. It also took a toll onto Orton, who crashed into the monitor. You can see he was hurting badly, but sucked it up and completed the match. At the end, Bryan got off a stretcher, Batista hit a Batista Bomb and Bryan hit a running knee for the win. 75,000 chant Yes and the moment is complete. Bryan reaches the highest of heights and ends the night with plenty to be excited for.
Score: 10/10
Quick Hits:
-Hogan, Austin and Rock made a memorable opening and electrified the crowd. It was an awe-inspiring moment that will be remembered forever.
-Bray Wyatt's intro and music was so creepy, yet so perfect. The crowd loved it and it gave us a small feeling that Bray Wyatt has "made it."
-I would have loved to see Bad News Barrett, but his moment at the Hall of Fame was classic.
-The pacing of the event was crisp. The set was breathtaking. The writing was intelligent and dangerous, but it paid off.
WrestleMania XXX Score: 8.5/10 (One of, if not, the best WrestleMania in history. Let the debate begin.)
