The Cashbox: Survivor Series Preview and Predictions

5-on-5 Survivor Series Match

I still love the traditional Survivor Series matches. I think they're fun and can be effective to help individual storylines going on between members of each team. It's also fun to try and predict who will be the last three or four remaining.  Sometimes that's not easy to do.

Randy OrtonTeam Orton vs Team Barrett should be a good match. I read that some fans thought Cody Rhodes should have been the team leader. I can understand their argument, but it seems like a petty point to argue in the first place. Wade Barrett is also in the middle of a push – a potential Heavyweight Championship push – and he deserves to be the frontman just as much as Rhodes. Whether you're more a fan of one over the other is irrelevant. Both men should have an opportunity to shine in this match.

I liked WWE adding Dolph Ziggler as a last minute replacement for Christian. The fact that this will be his second pay per view in a row with two matches is a good side story and something he can use in future promos to continue his transition to the next level. If this match takes place after his U.S. title match with Morrison, it also gives him an out for being eliminated early.

Who will be the last four men standing isn't a given. Outside of two men for each team, cases could be made for all of them. I expect it will be Orton and Sheamus against Barrett and Rhodes. That's the obvious choice, but a case could be made for Ryan or Ziggler to be thrown in there.

Who wins? I'd like to see the heels get it, but I think it goes to Team Orton.

CASH'S PREDICTION: Team Orton
