The Cashbox: Establishing Heels; End Squashes; Dolph Ready?

DOLPH ZIGGLER MAKING THE MOVE

And here we go!

We knew it was just a matter of time and Dolph fans everywhere are now rejoicing. It seems like WWE is ready to begin his solo push. The question now: will he do it by himself?

Raw seemed to indicate Vickie will be staying by his side, for now, at least. I’m aware many of you will disagree with this decision. Consider the following, however:

What is Dolph’s main weakness? Most would agree it’s his mic skills. It’s mostly due to lack of experience and I’m sure it could be developed. If AJ Styles could become a convincing talker, I’d imagine Dolph can follow suit.

However, why risk exposing his weakness immediately into his singles push?

Dolph needs the best opportunity to succeed at a high level on his own, first. THEN cut him loose from Vickie. If he’s still not up to par on the stick, fans will already be invested and might cut him some slack. Especially if he turns face in the process.

I understand the argument about Vickie overshadowing Dolph at times. And his true challenge will be after he makes the split officially. However, I’ll take the good with the bad if it gives him the best chance to succeed.

Vickie staying with Dolph won’t cost him the chance at superstardom. Vickie leaving, and Dolph not connecting on the mic, very well could.
