EveEve Torres Defeats Beth Phoenix

What I Liked:

The Divas Champion gets some good time in the first hour of Raw. Eve is the prime Diva in the company right now, and they are letting her showcase her skills in the ring. She is athletic, but also has a strong look to her. With all of the success early in the year, she could actually bring some "story-telling" to the Divas division. Why not go back and create a boyfriend/girlfriend storyline with Eve stealing the man? This could help a misused talent gain some valuable time on Raw and Smackdown, as well as make Eve and her opponent something that you WANT to watch, not HAVE to watch.

What I Disliked:

I really expected more out of Phoenix and Eve, two women who know how to work in the ring. I am shocked to see Phoenix basically job to Eve. Beth needs to turn face because everyone knows her abilities in the ring. She is one who can be cheered because of how good and strong she is. The crowd is too intelligent to buy into a small Diva continuing to dominate. It was not too bad with Eve, who is not little Diva.

Brodus Clay Defeats Heath Slater

What I Liked:

With Antonio Cesaro at commentary, we get to feel a little of what he is all about. Instead of him speaking 5 words, he puts over the fact that he does not like Brodus Clay. This could be a good feud for both men, one where it hopefully expands the ideas of Clay, while giving Cesaro a much needed face to feud with. Clay is still over, so Cesaro can garner some heat from the crowd just by attacking him. It sure helped Damien Sandow. The match was a basic Clay squash, but at least they are trying to build something around it.

What I Disliked:

Besides the fact that the match was not interesting to me, nothing. There is only so much you can say about a squash match.

MizTV Debuts

What I Liked:

This whole segment was for Ryback to come out and rip apart the set. Booker T talked about The Miz running his mouth. He says that he has someone else who should be a guest. Ryback comes out, chases off Miz, and throws the set all out of the ring. I am sold on the feud of Miz and Ryback for a few reasons. I think that The Miz is a guy who is known in the WWE Universe as the "guy who beat John Cena." People still associate him as a main eventer, even though he has fallen off a bit. Ryback needs to get that push. His time is now, and the crowd will back it if they give him some creativity. Feed Me More is great, and fans are starting to connect with his badass mentality. This was well done, and I have high hopes for this feud.

What I Disliked:

Besides Ryback, everything else was pretty bad. The Miz looked lost and short on words at times. The set had too many pieces to it, and looked like a college dorm room. It was misorganized and had no personality to it. The Miz was a reality star, so I went in thinking that this could be great. It wasn't.
