2/8 Wrestlezone Recap: Anonymous Letters From WWE, Emma Bombs in Raw Debut, Undertaker’s Return, WrestleMania Plans & More

Anonymous GM Sending Letters Again

cm punk situationIn the last week, an "anonymous WWE employee" has sent in two letters to F4WOnline.com. The first letter laughed off the fan response to Daniel Bryan not being in the Royal Rumble. The second letter basically calls CM Punk a "bitch" and talks about him screwing over the fans in the same way he feels WWE is screwing him.

I'm not one to put a ton of stock into conspiracy theories, but WWE has been notorious about keeping their stars away from wrestling websites. Meltzer has a ton of friends inside the industry, obviously, but when was the last time any of them came forward to speak out against current events, even in an anonymous capacity? I'm not saying WWE is leaking things intentionally, but there are two things they want to accomplish right now – 1) keeping Bryan out of the WrestleMania main event, and 2) keeping the fans from chanting for CM Punk. Sending a letter to the Observer is really the only way they know it reaches every wrestling website on the internet. By painting Punk in a negative light, trying to play him up as the bad guy in this whole situation, WWE doesn't look nearly as bad going forward.

I'm just playing devil's advocate for the sake of creating conversation. There's a 95% chance the letter is legit, and somebody inside the company is just expressing their feelings with no chance of repercussion. The part about Triple H taking over "not being as cool as they thought it would be" doesn't exactly scream "From the Desk of Vince McMahon". So what do you think? Is CM Punk justified, or is he screwing the fans?
