Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction “Why Nostalgia Needs To Be Featured on Friday Nights”

The Squash Matches

smackdown reactionKane defeated Adam Rose in the first match of the night. Rose gets fed to Kane for interrupting Stephanie and then Kane crashes his fun.

Kane goes after The Bunny, which continues the awful writing that consists of WWE giving more time to a costume than an actual wrestler.

What do you hate more, Kane wrestling  meaningless matches or The Bunny getting more television time than 60 percent of the roster?

It is brutal and WWE needs to realize that Adam Rose is actually a really good wrestler with a terrible gimmick.

AJ Lee defeated Alicia Fox

The new friend of Paige gets on the offensive early. AJ connects with a few elbows. Alicia hits a backbreaker and then tries for another. AJ Lee reverses it and then locks in the Black Widow for the win. AJ throws Alicia into Paige, sending them into the ropes.

AJ Lee gets the upper hand in this feud that continues to drag on. There needs to be something more for Paige right now, especially since she NEEDS the championship title around her waist. AJ Lee is always going to be good, no matter what feud or storyline she is in. She makes everything work, but Paige is not quite there yet.

Seth Rollins defeated Kofi Kingston

Kofi gets taken down quickly and thrown into the barricade. He clotheslines Kofi as they get back in the ring, then he stomps him in the corner and throws him across the ring.

Kofi gets a quick rollup, but only gets a two count. Kofi gets a dropkick and a clothesline in, but Seth counters with two powerbombs into the corner and a Curb Stomp for the win.

How good could this match be if Kingston was actually built into something great? Seth Rollins needed to control the match and pick up a win by himself, with no help. He did that, but it is against Kofi Kingston. Does that even matter in the long run? I don’t think so. Either way, a solid match with little dramatic elements involved.
