Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw Reaction “All About The Shield”

Kevin Owens vs. Neville

wwe raw Raw starts with John Cena talking about Kevin Owens and their match on Sunday. The NXT Champion comes out and says the NXT Championship is now open. Neville answers the challenge, since Owens says Cena cannot fight him tonight.

Neville gets a few quick strikes in before Owens knocks him down and hits a cannonball in the corner. Owens hits a gutbuster and knees him for a two count, then we get back from a break to see Neville hit a DDT. Owens kicks him and slams him back down, then Neville knocks him down and heads up top. Owens cuts him off, but Neville shoves him back and goes for Red Arrow, but Owens rolls away so Neville rolls through and kicks him. He heads back up top but Owens shakes the ropes, then hits a powerbomb to win.

Fast paced and really entertaining. It tells you that Vince is paying attention to NXT more now than ever, or that Triple H is calling the shots. Either way, Raw kicks off with a bang. The faith that WWE puts in these guys is incredible for how young they are on the main roster. They have faith in Kevin Owens’ gimmick and style in the ring, as well as Neville’s athleticism and professionalism. He is a guy that puts on John Morrison-like matches and will get to a point where he holds a mid-card title. This is better than his feud with Bo Dallas, no doubt.

Nikki Bella defeated Summer Rae

Nikki and Summer put on about a two minute match. As per WWE Superstars results, Paige fought on that show. Why was she not seen on Raw? Why would WWE hold her off of television 6 days away from her championship match? Also, if Nikki is supposed to be the heel, why is she facing Summer Rae? Isn’t she a heel? I felt like this was so illogical and pointless.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
