Isenberg Reacts: WWE NXT “Aries and Joe Carry The Show”

Tye Dillinger vs. Angelo Hawkins kicked off NXT. Dillinger arm drags Dawkins, taunts him with his cartwheels and does the perfect ten taunt. The crowd is behind him, but Angelo Dawkins forces Dillinger into the corner. Tye fires back in the corner with some Ric Flair like chops. Dawkins misses a spinning corner splash after a reversal, which allows Dillinger to drop Dawkins. Tye Dillinger connects with a few clotheslines and then some stomps into the corner. Dillinger is eyeing up Dawkins, allowing him to connect with the Tye Breaker for the win. After the match, Bobby Roode comes out and wants Tye Dillinger as his partner for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

I like the idea of Bobby Roode and Tye Dillinger teaming up for a few reasons. I think this elevates Tye to a spot that the crowd thinks he should be at and deserves to be at. If they win the classic, that would be his biggest victory. If not, you can have Roode and Dillinger feud after for a month or two. They have big egos and big personalities, all the while connecting with the crowd on a unique and fun way. Tonight’s match was about 4-5 minutes, which I wish was a bit longer. Angelo Dawkins just does not do it for me, though. Tye made quick work and the only reason this was average was because of a glorious idea of putting these two men together. If anyone knows tag team wrestling, it is Bobby Roode.

Samoa Joe Attacks

As we get set to see The Ealy Brothers vs. The Revival, Samoa Joe attacks the brothers and destroys them in and out of the ring. Samoa Joe warns William Regal, saying this is going to happen each week until he gets what he deserves. Samoa Joe leaves.

Short and sweet from Joe, warning Regal about the destruction he can cause. Will this lead to him potentially taking out Regal? Maybe, but I do think this is their best option for Joe right now as they take Nakamura out of the show for a few weeks. (Which I still do not agree with whatsoever).

The Authors of Pain Squash Again

Just like the weeks and months prior, AoP pick up a very easy and quick victory. When will we get to know more about these guys and when will WWE finally give us a match with them that lasts longer than a pee break. As The Rock once again, “I’m going to take a leak, this guy sucks.”
