Reality TV “star” and former TNA Wrestling personality Johnny Fairplay is known for being, well, a jackass. This week at the Fox Reality Awards in Los Angeles, Fairplay bit off more than he could chew and wound up in the hospital – minus 3 teeth.
During a segment of the awards show when Johnny Fairplay was a guest presenter, he was joined on stage by former child star and radio & television personality Danny Bonaduce.
Here’s how Bonaduce described the incident that would follow to the New York Daily News:
“Jonny Fairplay hurt himself. I was just a prop. The guy is up onstage and instead of reading off the prompter, he starts asking the crowd, ‘Why are you booing?’ So I turn to my girlfriend and say, ‘They are booing him because they hate him.’ Some lady with a headset turns to me and says, ‘Why don’t you go up onstage and tell him that?’ So I did.”
Fairplay apparently didn’t take Bonaduce’s observation too well. He jumped on Bonaduce as a spontaneous goof and started humping him. Bonaduce explains: “My instinct was to just get him off of me; his own momentum caused him to go over me and land badly.”
“Badly” is an understatement. Fairplay broke 3 teeth and will require 3 root canals to repair the damage.
