RVD Not Going To Iraq?, ECW PPV Tonight, More

As reported earlier, there is a behind-the-scenes battle in regards to Rob Van Dam going on the annual trip to Iraq. The company wants him to go, but due to safety issues, they can’t force him to go as part of the job. It is understood that the voluntary nature of the trip is due to legal reasons, but when asked to go, you should probably go. Apparently, Van Dam used that loop hole to not go two years ago, and when asked to go on this year’s trip, he said he was not interested in going. Right now, nobody knows as to how this thing will play out. The show is being taped sometime next week.

Ticket sales for tomorrow night’s ECW PPV in Augusta, GA should have topped 2,000 by today. As of yesterday afternoon, 1,976 tickets had been sold.

The Original Midnight Express; Dennis Condrey, Bobby Eaton and Jim Cornette have launched their official website at therealmx.com. Jim, Dennis, and Bobby invite everyone to visit the site to find out the latest on the Midnights or to book them for an event or appearance.

Francine, who will be entering semi-retirement from pro wrestling at the end of the year, made an appearance last night at WEW’s pay per view taping. For the time being, this may have been her last wrestling appearance. The pay-per-view will likely air in February or March.
