Bill Pritchard

Christopher DanielsImpact Wrestling star Christopher Daniels was a guest on the PWTorch Live podcast Friday afternoon and he talked about his confidence level, having the company behind him and more: Below is an excerpt from the conversation: (Credit to PWTorch for transcription.)

On being confident in himself because of the company's trust in him:
"TNA star Christopher Daniels revealed exclusively on Friday's PWTorch Livecast that he is the most confident he's ever felt in TNA because TNA is the most confident they've ever been in him as a performer. Daniels noted there were times in the past when he felt restricted, but now he feels like TNA has given him freedom as a performer after proving to be capable of that responsibility.

'They trust me to go out there and do stuff – to fail or succeed on my own merits. And, I feel that I've succeeded,' Daniels told PWTorch editor Wade Keller."

On where he draws his inspiration for his heel persona from:
"'I try to find something that gets under the people's skin and go with it,' Daniels said. 'Even if they sort of appreciate what you're doing, you still find a way to upset people.'

Daniels added that he draws his inspiration from watching TV or movies to see what characters come across like jackasses or total jerks, which he then adopts for his character. 'Like the scarf, appletini, etc.,' he said."
