Both programmes will be repeated in SPORT1’s famous ‘Saturday night wrestling’ slot in March, replacing previous shows WWE Smackdown and Bottom Line.

There will also be a comprehensive video-on-demand offering, featuring full episodes of TNA IMPACT WRESTLING and TNA PPV events on the SPORT1.de website. Fans can catch the unabridged two-hour edition of TNA IMPACT WRESTLING, as well as TNA’s monthly three-hour-long special wrestling events. In 2013, TNA Lockdown, TNA Slammiversary and TNA Bound for Glory will be offered live. All content will be available both individually and in subscription packages. Further details will be announced shortly.

The TV and video-on-demand formats of TNA IMPACT WRESTLING will feature the commentary of Nic Heldt and Mike Ritter.

Olaf Schröder, Chief Editor and Head of Programming at SPORT1, says: “With the extensive collaboration with TNA IMPACT WRESTLING, we are continuing our popular and long-established tradition of wrestling on TV.

“Furthermore, from March onwards we can offer German wrestling fans an exclusive video-on-demand portfolio – with three big live events – that fits very well into our multimedia profile.”

TNA IMPACT WRESTLING General Manager Hulk Hogan is excited about the new partnership. He said: “Some of my biggest matches were shown on SPORT1, formerly DSF. I’m glad that the fans in Germany can now follow the best matches of today exclusively on SPORT1 and SPORT1.de.”

Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling, added: “SPORT1 has been the home of Germany’s wrestling fans for many years. We are delighted to have found in SPORT1 the ideal partner to showcase the action-packed matches from TNA IMPACT WRESTLING to the German fans.”
