According to the report and witnesses in attendance, Orton was attacked in the groin by the fan following his match against Big E. Instead, Orton reportedly gave the fan the middle finger as he was being dragged away from ringside by arena security.

The following are two Tweets posted by live witnesses:

"Fan just attacked @RandyOrton! Wtf! #WWECapeTown#WWECapeTown (night 1) @WWE," wrote Twitter user Richard Kruse.

"Someone from the crowd just hit in the nuts @RandyOrton #WWECapeTown," wrote another user.

There was supposed to be a meet and greet with WWE Superstars following the show, but due to the incident, it did not take place. This caused one fan in attendance to Tweet the following:

"@GrandWestSA your security sucks! And I feel cheated out of my R600 I payed to interact with wwe superstars."
