Former World Champion Turns Heel on Impact Wrestling; Sets Up Possible Championship Match for Bound for Glory

Mike Killam

Chris SabinFormer TNA World Champion Chris Sabin attacked X-Division Champion Manik after a match with Jeff Hardy tonight on Impact Wrestling. After the match, Sabin cut a promo backstage about being a "trailblazer" in TNA, and not getting the respect he deserves from the fans. His character has been noticeably upset since losing the world title earlier this summer, and a heel turn has been in the works for several weeks.

With only four episodes of Impact Wrestling left before TNA Bound for Glory, it would seem as if they are planning an X-Division Championship match between Chris Sabin and Manik for their big October pay-per-view. This would be Sabin's first Bound for Glory appearance since 2010, and the first ever for TJ Perkins, who is currently playing the Manik (formerly Suicide) character.
