It looks like we're going to start tonight's show off with action, as Goldust makes his way down accompanied by Cody Rhodes. We get a replay of Cody's loss on Raw last night, and the post-match scuffle that the brothers had.

Goldust vs. Alberto del Rio

Del Rio starts the match with a nice series of arm drags, and immediately slows things down with a side headlock. Goldust recovers and hits a snap powerslam, but del Rio responds with a step-up enzuigiri and again drops into the rest hold. Goldy escapes the hold and dodges a superkick, hitting the Final Cut for the quick victory.

Winner: Goldust

Renee Young asks the brothers if they are still on the same page. Goldust says they are together, and will stay together, even if from time to time they compete as singles stars. Cody asks if this win makes Goldy "better" than him, but apologizes and says that he hasn't been himself lately. They shake hands and hug it out, and Cody says the Brotherhood is staying together.

KILLAM: Well that's a s–ty way to kick off Main Event. This was the one match advertised for tonight's show I actually cared about, because del Rio is an excellent worker, and Goldust as a legend is still better than 80% of the active roster. I wasn't expecting a total squash over a former World Heavyweight and WWE Champion… The post-match promo had a nice little tease, which I expect we'll see come to fruition either at Extreme Rules this Sunday, or on Raw the following night.
