Angle, who is still currently with TNA, said that he respected Punk’s decision to walk away, and gave his insight on why he thought Punk left WWE.
Ross and Angle both disagree with observers who feel like Punk owed them some sort of farewell.
Angle stated that if the main reason behind Punk’s departure was because of his injury, he said he couldn’t have respected him more for the decision. He also wanted to call Punk and tell him that there is going to be a time where Punk could go to being a part-timer.
Angle feels like there would have been many more times where CM Punk could have headlined WrestleMania and it was not always going to be headlined by part-time wrestlers.
Isenberg: The rumors of CM Punk leaving WWE after Royal Rumble in Pittsburgh had to deal with the fact that Batista won the match and would headline WrestleMania over him.
