As noted, a new lawsuit filed by WWE to block unlicensed merchandise from being sold in California during WrestleMania 31 revealed information about the 2016 Royal Rumble and Fastlane PPV events.
Chris “Mookie” Harrington has recapped some more of the lawsuit details, and it has been revealed that beginning on June 28th of last year, WWE assigned letter grades to cities the company visits based on the overall drawing ability of the city.
You might notice some cities appear in different grade categories, and this is because one trip to the city might be for a live event, and another trip to the same city is for a TV taping.
The breakdown is as follows:
A: 70 examples (minimum: 3,500; maximum 15,913) – average: 9,235
B+: 32 examples (minimum: 3,122; maximum 14,481) – average: 7,608
B: 48 examples (minimum: 2,626; maximum 12,717) – average: 6,496
C: 61 examples (minimum: 2,230; maximum 6,996) – average 4,546
