Matt Hardy is Number 1 Contender

matt hardy Is there a better opponent for EC3 right now than Hardy? The guy oozes charisma and has established himself as more than just a former tag champion or United States Champion. TNA, without secret, has propelled former WWE guys to the top quickly and it has backfired. They have had successes like Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle and others. Matt is different.

He was always one of my favorite guys to watch in WWE for many years, but some of his best work was when he was able to step outside, get healthy and have a new persona. Even though he is not the “smart and smooth” heel in ROH right now, he became a guy that fans consistently wanted to see. Right now.

Hardy is the strongest and best option for a guy like Carter. If he faces Roode, it is going to be booked like every former champion in the past. You beat “TNA’s guy.” EC3 is not going after a TNA original, which makes this fresh and intriguing to me. Will Matt win the title? Maybe not, but it is more about how he is able to help develop Carter and remind everyone that this guy has a bright future ahead of him.

James Storm Introduces Serena

As James Storm focuses on his next battle with Magnus, she brings in Serena Deeb. With her personal history with Mickie, even though it was not on a grand stage, she is a new face and someone that I have enjoyed watching in the independent scene. The feud itself feels personal, but it has already dragged on enough.

I want to be invested in it, but I am souring quickly. They really stalled momentum with the stupid train incident. If they really wanted this to be unique, you could have done more with Magnus and his family. Just targeting Mickie James tells me TNA thinks she needs to be the focal point. Wouldn’t it benefit Magnus more? Since being champion, he has been so mis-managed.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
