Baron Corbin Says He Has “A Little” Respect for Samoa Joe

WWE.com has posted a new interview with NXT star Baron Corbin, who will face Samoa Joe at NXT Takeover Brooklyn Saturday night. Corbin had the following to say in the interview about his Takeover opponent, and indy talents who are being brought into NXT:

“I look at these guys that come in with a name, but it’s on the internet. It’s someone’s opinion. It’s created with these fan bases of people who are diehards and watched them with 12 or 15 people in a high school gym. They’re nobodies. I’m the real deal. The NFL, boxing, jiu-jitsu, I did that. I’m proven at what I can do.

I have a little respect for [Samoa] Joe. But I had just beat up two guys. He’s a veteran and knows how to take an opportunity. He got in a lucky sleeper hold. I’ve only used what I needed to in order to win. Now, I can go deeper into my arsenal. Samoa Joe doesn’t know what’s coming. That means I’m in control. You have no choice in what happens. If you’re in my way, you’re done.”

John Cena will be appearing on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” tonight to promote WWE SummerSlam.

TNA has released the following preview video for next week’s Impact Wrestling, which will feature 3 Championship matches:

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
