WWE Live Event Results (11/6): Leeds, England: Ambrose vs Owens, Kane vs Big Show Street Fight, Balor vs Sheamus and More

I traveled from Kingston Upon Hull to Leeds for the event.

The show opened with Jojo introducing Ric Flair, who came out and announced the main event of Dean Ambrose challenging Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental title. He also announced the match of Kane vs. Big show in a street fight.

1. The Dudley Boyz beat New Day in a tables match. The Dudleys picked up the win with a 3D to Xavier Woods. It was a standard match. Following the match, D-Von grabbed a kid out of the front row and gave him the gift of a broken piece of the table, which was a nice touch.

2. Cesaro beat The Miz. A normal run of the mill match. Cesaro was victor after one of the longest “big swings” in history

3. NXT Champion Finn Balor beat Sheamus.. The match was back and forth with Balor picking up the win following the top rope stomp.

A video package explaining Conor’s Cure was then played. The crowd gave this a great reaction, it was touching to see.

Bo Dallas was next to make an appearance. e gave his usual spiel, claiming that tonight was the start of his winning streak.

4. Curtis Axel beat Bo Dallas. Axel picked up the win within a minute thanks to a rollup. Axel made his way backstage. Bo Dallas wasn’t happy at all, this lead to the appearance of R-Truth sporting a Leeds Ryhnos rugby league shirt. Dallas refused to fight, he instead challenged truth to a dance off, which Truth accepted. Dallas was up first dancing like an idiot to “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. Truth was up up next. He was going to dance to Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean. Before he started, Dallas blindsided him. Truth got the upper hand and left him lying.

5. Kane beat Big Show in a Street Fight. Kane was the first to get a kendo stick from under the ring followed by the Show getting a steel chair involved. Show nailed Kane with a chokeslam, but Kane kicked out. Kane got himself a table from under the ring and positioned it close to the corner. Later in the match, Show placed Kane on the table and proceeded to climb the turnbuckle. Kane came to to deliver an impressive chokeslam off the turnbuckle and through the table and got the 1-2-3. Following the match, Big Show struggled to get up. Once he was on his feet, he fell face first to the mat. For some reason, the referee decided to lay over Show and make his own count. The ref got to two before an irate giant threw him off and chased him to the back.

Intermission

6. Becky Lynch and Charlotte beat Brie Bella and Alicia Fox with special referee Paige. The match overall was really good. Charlotte nailed Paige with a spear after Brie dodged it. Paige was out for the rest of the match. A ref made his way to the ring to count the pin for Becky Lynch. Following the match, Paige attacked Lynch and Charlotte from behind. They got the upper hand on Paige, who made a quick escape.

7. Dolph Ziggler beat Tyler Breeze (w/Summer Rae). This was a really fast paced match up with tons of near falls. There was also an impressive number of pin reversals during this match. Summer got herself involved by hitting Ziggler with one of her boots. The ref had an idea of the interference, so he ejected her to the back. Ziggler hit the Zigzag for the win.

8. Dean Ambrose beat Kevin Owens by DQ in an Intercontinental Title match. The match was nothing special and ended up with Owens getting disqualified for hitting Ambrose in the gut with a chair. Afterward, the Dudleys, Cesaro, Sheamus, New Day, and Dolph Ziggler came down and had a brawl. The Dudleys hit the 3D on Owens.
