WWE NXT Womens Champion Bayley, along with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, recently spoke with Memphis Commercial Appeal to promote upcoming events in Tennessee, and below are some interview quotes:
The King on Wrestling Now vs Then:
“When you talk to guys like me, who were around during that old school era, and actually lived and worked through the change, usually most of the guys have mixed emotions about it. Most of them would say it’s better the old way. But you can’t argue with success.”
Bayley on her WWE Main Roster Optimism:
“It’s very hard to go from NXT to the main roster because obviously not everybody watches NXT. You have to work your way back up again. I’m going to be optimistic.”
