Update On Issues With AAA

As noted, Konnan and AAA are having issues and Konnan plans to have a press conference soon. PWInsider is reporting that many AAA stars are frustrated with management.
It has been noted that Rey Mysterio has had a problem with the company because of reported issues with pay. Konnan being close with Mysterio, has been back and forth with AAA mangement’s Dorian Roldan on Mysterio’s issue. AAA had a taping last night and Konnan was at the taping. So they may have had a chance to talk face to face.

AAA has ownership in Lucha Underground and some AAA talent has been booked for Lucha Underground. The talent is reportedly unhappy about being required to pay AAA a percentage of their bookings in Lucha Underground. For the first season, talents were paid directly from AAA after LU paid them. When the talent received their pay AAA would take a percentage of it.
This frustration has sparked talks of talents wanting to leave the company. The problem in leaving AAA, is this would end the talents working with LU. This causes a problem because they have been very happy with LU management.
LU plans to begin filming its third season this March.
