Dean Ambrose Is Answer

Former WWE referee, Jimmy Korderas, blogged for CSRWrestling.com about Dean Ambrose being the answer. Here’s a sample:

The WWE’s main roster has been hit hard by the injury bug. Now we can add Luke Harper to a list that feels like it is growing on a weekly basis. It’s been a tough sledding with so many quality talents on the shelf but one man’s misfortune is another man’s opportunity. This motto applies in all walks of life but is especially true in the WWE. It goes without saying that when any superstar suffers an injury that keeps them out of action for an extended period, it is terribly unfortunate. Injuries are an inherent part of the business. The risks involved when performing in any wrestling ring are ever present and each and every wrestler who has steps foot inside the squared circle understands that.  As good old JR would say, “it’s not ballet”.

I try to think with every negative there comes something positive. The recent rash of injuries to so many top WWE superstars has created opportunity. As callus as it may sound, the show must go on. There is no point in lamenting over what might have been and simply look ahead to the future. The door is now wide open for another superstar to step up and claim the spot that they believe they are destined for. The WWE is all about opportunity and now more than ever is the time for someone to break out of the pack. There are only a few candidates that I can see filling that role.

As WrestleMania 32 rapidly approaches, I believe Dean Ambrose is the logical choice to be that guy as far as the long term future of the company is concerned. I still think it is not the right time to pull the trigger in giving Ambrose a run in the top spot. That time will come, no need to rush the process. I’m a firm believer in the slow burn approach. Let there be a good story that leads to his rise in the ranks. It will only benefit him and the company in the long run.

Ambrose possesses that “it” factor that cannot be taught. He has the charisma the majority of the WWE universe has gravitated to and appreciates. He bridges that so called gap between the more avid fans and the more casual ones. The “Lunatic Fringe” has developed an organic connection with the fans in much the same way Daniel Bryan did. He may not be quite at that level just yet but his appeal is growing. That, more than any other factor is why he has a great shot at being the next one.

WM 32 Open

Shane Shoemaker wrote a new blog for CSRWrestling.com where he talks about the need for a strong open to WrestleMania 32. Here’s a sample:

(Before you read this, yes, I know this moment I’m about to describe technically has already happened, but the scenario I’m giving would be pertinent to the current timing and different than what transpired back in 2005.)

It was three of the biggest money drawing talents the business ever had in the ring at one time — Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. It was that of a fantasy booking moment come to life. And with all the legends that WrestleMania brings, it’s time to create another one of those moments this year in Dallas.

When The Rock, Stone Cold, and Hulk Hogan all shared the ring together to create a WrestleMania moment at WrestleMania 30, it was an appreciation of all those eras and all those moments those three individuals created…and maybe that can be recreated with three other individuals.

With one of the main subjects of this WrestleMania being that of Shane McMahon gaining control of RAW if he were to beat The Undertaker, Vince McMahon should open the show talking about controlling not only WWE, but “sports-entertainment”.

In his opening promo, he should continue to make the issue known about control and power and that how he has always beat any challenge that’s ever faced him and that he will have final say as to what happens to his company and who takes control over it. He would say this business is nothing without a McMahon, and that’s it’s because of him that a 100,000 people are here tonight, all on his own.

Then enter Paul Heyman.

Heyman comes out and gives his usual, “May name is,” as the fans chant along with him. He begins to tell Vince that it is true that he beat all of his competition, one which included ECW, but that it was because of ECW that the business survived. Because of ECW there was Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam, etc. ECW was innovative and without it, you would never know of things like “extreme” and maybe WrestleMania wouldn’t have gotten far past 10 if not for things such as that.

Then enter Eric Bischoff.
