Seth Green Talks Camp WWE, John Cena’s Character On The Show, How Much People Will Enjoy Mr. McMahon

Actor / comedian Seth Green recently spoke with USA Today about his new WWE Network animated series “Camp WWE” which premieres next week.

Green talks about the format of the show, getting to work with different WWE personalities and more. You can read a few excerpts below:

Seth Green comments on the concept of Camp WWE:

“Everybody can relate to the concept of being at camp and it gives us an age to explore these characters that you’d never get to see.”

Green comments on working with WWE Superstars on the show:

“It’s all pinch-me moments. I just calm myself enough that I can do the job I’ve been brought there to do. When you get the opportunity to work with your heroes, you want to make sure you’re doing your best.”

Green explains his take on John Cena:

“We wanted to play with the can-do spirit of an 8-year-old who always has a shoulder for you to cry on and always has some encouraging message but also just gets annoying,” Green explains. “He’s great at everything in the show but the other campers are like, ‘Ah, John, you know none of us like you, right?’ ”

Green talks about how much fun working with Vince McMahon was:

“He takes directions very, very well. He’s got a keen sense of understanding the comedy and the emotional disposition.

I don’t think girls between 14 and 29 are prepared for how much they’re going to love Vince McMahon after they watch this cartoon.”
