As expected, Randy Orton made his highly anticipated return at tonight’s WWE Battleground pay-per-view, as the special guest of Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel. The “Viper” was sporting a new RKO #OuttaNowhere shirt and looked to be in great shape ahead of his SummerSlam battle with the “Beast Incarnate”, Brock Lesnar.
Orton cut a promo on Lesnar, stating that it might take twenty suplexes to get to Suplex City, “but it only takes one RKO to get to Viperville – no enhancement required.” The final shot was obviously a reference to Brock being flagged by the USADA for a violation of their anti-doping policy, following his victory over Mark Hunt at UFC 200 that is now under investigation.
The 12-time WWE world champion will square off against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion on August 21st in Brooklyn, NY at WWE SummerSlam, and will be on hand this upcoming Tuesday as an exclusive member of Smackdown Live!
