State of WWE Universe Recap (11/14): Foley, Stephanie, Shane & Daniel Bryan Trade Shots Before SSeries, Heyman on Current WWE State, More

WWE Network Special: State of WWE Universe

The State of WWE began with Renee Young welcoming in the audience alone. The GMs and Commissioners of both shows were still recovering from the ending of Raw. So instead she was joined by Paul Heyman.

He says that the audience plays into the hands of Brock Lesnar. He also says that Brock Lesnar did not fight Goldberg tonight because seeing Brock Lesnar fight is very special. The contract was signed and he saved his fighting for Sunday at Survivor Series. He ends the interview by saying that the State of WWE is perfect because of his client Brock Lesnar.

After Heyman leaves, Renee Young gives the audience a recap of the brawl between Team Raw and Team Smackdown that ended Raw. During the recap Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley came on set. Mick Foley says that if he had have known about Stephane’s plan to leave Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan to the members of Team Raw that he might have protested. He later admits that it was a good idea the she did not tell him because it led to great action.

Shortly after, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon enter the show. Once everyone is settled, Renee Young asks Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley if the two of them not being on the same page bothers them. Stephanie McMahon says that the reason she asked Mick Foley to be the general manager is because of his skill and because he represents the players. She adds that they do not always agree but ultimately they are a team.

Shane McMahon jumps in with his adrenaline still pumping. He says that the brawl that happened on Raw will be the exact same thing that happens at Survivor Series but Team Smackdown will win. Stephanie McMahon jumps in and admires her brother’s guts buts she feels that he has always had more brains than guts.

Shane McMahon says that Daniel Bryan was the first call he made for general manager because he represents WWE. Stephanie agrees that Daniel Bryan is the perfect general manager for Smackdown because a B wrestler should represent the B show. Shane McMahon interrupts and reminds everyone that Daniel Bryan beat her husband, Triple H.

After a brief moment of Mick Foley rambling on about his book, how great Stephanie McMahon is, and giving to charities Renee Young puts the attention back on Survivor Series. Mick Foley asks Shane McMahon how it will work because he is on the team instead of The Miz. He also points out that The Miz is not on the team only because Daniel Bryan does not like him. Daniel Bryan reminds them that The Miz is getting a rematch at the Intercontinental Championship. Daniel Bryan feels that The Miz is in a better position since the draft just like everyone else on Smackdown Live. He feels that only a few people are in better positions on Raw even with a three hour show.

Daniel Bryan points out that his team came off of a flight from Dubai straight to Raw to protect their Commissioner because they respect him and nobody respects Stephanie McMahon.

Shane McMahon says that his goal is to keep Team Smackdown focused and to win. Mick Foley says that the spot should have gone to a real Smackdown wrestler instead of their boss. He also brings up how Daniel Bryan originally did not want the general manager job. Daniel Bryan acknowledged that but says he took it because the wresters needed a general manager that understood them and not someone from a different era.

The show ends with Shane McMahon telling Stephanie McMahon that the best part about beating Team Raw will be when he sits across from her on Thanksgiving knowing that Team Smackdown is the better team.
