Randy Orton made his first appearance on Smackdown since competing in the Punjabi Prison match at Battleground, and will now face Rusev at Summerslam.

Rusev cut a promo after beating Chad Gable on Smackdown and talked about demanding competition, and said it’s the same thing he’s asked for since arriving on Smackdown. Orton came to the ring and said he wasn’t afraid of Rusev and cut right to the chase, saying if he wanted a Summerslam opponent, he found one.

Rusev then cut a promo in Bulgarian and ran after Orton, who ducked and hit a RKO to end the segment. Earlier tonight, AJ Styles versus Kevin Owens with Shane McMahon as the special guest referee was also added to the Summerslam match card.
