Heels’ Third Episode Feat. CM Punk Sees Demographic Boost, Overall Viewership Drops

CM Punk made his on-screen debut as “Ricky Rabies” this week on Heels, and the show saw a boost in its demographic rating, but still saw another week-to-week decline in overall viewership.

According to WrestlenomicsHeels brought in 94,000 viewers on Sunday night, which is a drop from the 103,000 viewers the show drew last week. Despite that overall number, Heels still scored a 0.03 rating in the 18-49 demographic (34,000), which is up from the 0.01 the show had last week (and in any week so far). It was noted that the viewership totals only account for linear viewership and it does not include streaming platform figures.

Viewership Totals

Ep. 1 — 128,000 viewers / 0.02 demo

Ep. 2 — 103,000 viewers / 0.01 demo

Ep. 3 — 94,000 viewers / o.o2 demo

The fourth episode of Heels is titled “Cutting Promos” and will premiere on Sunday, September 5. Fans can check out a sneak peek below:

“After a house fire forces Jack and his family to move in with Carol and Ace, the two brothers put their differences aside and their heads together to generate a DWL promo to further grow the league’s fan base. Wild Bill finds himself back in Duffy, managing the HR blowback from his misbehavior, and giving Ace lessons on how to embrace his inner Heel, inside and outside the ring.”

CM Punk recently appeared at a screening to promote his debut on Heels, and he was asked about some of the pro wrestlers that inspired “Ricky Rabies” on the show. Punk previously told WrestleZone that fans would be “tickled pink” by his take on the character, and now told the audience in Chicago about how much Tracy Smothers inspired his character and his own wrestling career.
