CM Punk Apologized To Hangman Page Via Text Message Following AEW Collision

CM Punk is trying to make things right with Hangman Page.

Following AEW Collision, CM Punk cut a promo on Hangman Page for the live crowd at the arena. It wasn’t received well and has caused a renewed storm of controversy surrounding the “real world champion” ever since.

This morning it was reported by Haus of Wrestling that Punk sent a text message to Hangman Page following Collision apologizing for the promo. I have also been able to confirm details of the initial report, as have F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer and Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp.

It’s been revealed that Punk originally intended the promo to be comedic. But Punk quickly realized that it backfired and didn’t go how he envisioned it would.

With the biggest week in the history of All Elite Wrestling coming up later this month, it seems like it would be in Tony Khan’s best interest to take care of the situation before things spiral out of control.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on the saga between CM Punk and The Elite as it becomes available.
