Drew McIntyre thinks that WrestleMania in the UK is only a matter of when, not if.
The discourse over a potential WrestleMania in England has heated up over the last few years. John Cena mentioned the possibility during a shock appearance at Money in the Bank 2023 in London, while Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has vowed to bring WrestleMania to England’s capital in his reelection campaign.
After the success of AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, WrestleMania in Britain seems likely to happen, at least according to Drew McIntyre. Speaking with The Daily Star, Drew McIntyre revealed that he believes there will be a WrestleMania in the UK in the near future.
He took credit for campaigning for the show, not accepting John Cena’s part in getting the Grandaddy Of Them All to come to Britain for the first time.
“These days, I have a very different mindset than what I used to have, in that anything and everything is possible. It’s not just that there’s going to be a big show in the UK at some point. I believe there is going to be a WrestleMania,” Drew McIntyre said.
“I’ve said that from the moment I started believing that anything is possible. So if you want your headline, John Cena tried to claim credit for it when we came to London a couple of years back. I said it first that there would be a Mania in the UK before Cena started running around trying to take credit. Drew McIntyre said it first because I know it’s going to happen eventually,” he added.
