Jey Uso: A Bunch Of ‘Dope Wrestlers’ Are Way Better Than Me, But They’re Not At The Top

Jey Uso claps back at the critics.

Speaking on the Raw Recap podcast, Jey Uso was asked about the perception that the Bloodline story was at least somewhat about his own ascension to the top. He went on to address the criticism of his in-ring skills.

“Run that whole Bloodline story back from day one,” Uso said. “You’ll get lost in the sauce like everybody else do. They wanted me to beat Roman. They cheered for me hard. There was never no backlash at that moment. So I kind of know how to move and groove with the game. It resonates with me because that was my best body of work. That gave me confidence to do the singles thing. It gave me confidence in the microphone, gave me confidence in front of the camera. I feel like I act like everything is ten out of ten for me.

“They gonna pick me apart right now Uce because I’m in this position. ‘He can’t do this, he got three moves.’ If we really want to be honest, there’s a whole bunch of dope wrestlers way better than me, but they’re not at the top. They got 20 moves, and y’all can do all that, but they not in my position. It’s a different game up here. But y’all watched me learn, y’all watched my best work, my best craft, the whole way. Y’all still see it now. You’ll see glimpses of it now when I cut the promos. That’s all me, Uce. That is 100 percent, no scripted, tell me talk about WrestleMania, I’m gonna talk about WrestleMania.”

Jey Uso: I’m Not Going Anywhere

Uso continued by highlighting how the fans responded to him, especially his entrance. He stated that he was still learning as he went. Uso said that he wasn’t going anywhere, and he would shock the world again at WWE WrestleMania 41.

“But other than that, Uce,” Jey Uso said. “You can’t go out there on live TV like I do and move the crowd. That’s me now. I shake arenas, bro. The damn ground under your feet will be shaking when my entrance is out. That’s the levels I’m at, and I’m gonna stay there. I’m learning, I’m learning as I go. In this business, you stop learning or stop evolving, you out.

“There’s a hundred other dogs waiting outside the door, ready to eat you up. You’ll have to come to the top and get me, though. They watched me work. They raised me up. They watched me, from this tag team guy, from the first Royal Rumble entrance, nothing, to damn boom, I’m winning now. It is what it is, Uce. Get with it or get lost. But hell yeah, bust my ass, Uce. I ain’t going nowhere. I’m not going nowhere. I’m gonna shock the world two times.”
