Tam Nakano has retired from professional wrestling after nine years upon losing to Saya Kamitani in a Career vs. Career Match.
After multiple heinous encounters, Tam Nakano and Saya Kamitani decided to battle one final time at All Star Grand Queendom 2025. To up the ante, the loser of the match would be forced to retire from pro wrestling. Kamitani’s World of Stardom Championship was also on the line.
Nakano and Kamitani headlined the show in a match that was nothing short of physical. Saya Kamitani entered with her classic all-black attire as the Phenex Queen. On the other hand, Tam Nakano was a visual opposite, dressed in predominantly white gear.
They battled from the audience area to the stage and ramp. Both competitors were familiar with each other’s offense, finding a reversal for the other’s moves. However, Saya Kamitani retained her World of Stardom Championship after landing her patented Star Crusher. She hit Tam Nakano with Nakano’s own Twilight Dream suplex to pick up the win. Tam Nakano’s in-ring career officially comes to a close after nine years.
Tam Nakano and Saya Kamitani’s emotional post-match segment
Despite being bitter rivals, the two emotionally reminisced on their beginnings as partners after the match. Saya tearfully expressed her gratitude for Tam introducing her to the world of pro wrestling. Nakano replied, “Kamitani-san, you’re so clumsy. I guess you didn’t forget about love… I was able to fight and put everything on the line! I’m sorry, thank you.”
The former allies walked up to the stage together as Tam bid the wrestling world goodbye. They shared a warm moment to take all the emotions in as Yokohama Arena faded to black.
WrestleZone would like to wish Tam Nakano the best in her endeavors outside of the pro wrestling business.
