Darby Allin was on top of the world earlier this week, but he didn’t get there by himself.
On April 8, Darby Allin began his climb of Mount Everest. He achieved his goal just over one month later on May 17.
While on top of Everest, not only did Allin plant the flag for All Elite Wrestling, but he also did a shoutout to WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page by striking the Diamond Cutter pose.
On his Instagram Stories, Allin revealed that DDP helped set him up for success on this climb and thanked him for his help, writing:
“I didn’t know shit about mountains and was going to go to this low rent place when I googled how to climb Mount Everest years ago and @diamonddallaspage said f*ck that and put me in touch with the right people to do this journey the right way so thx Dallas,” Darby Allin wrote on his Instagram Stories.
DDP also took to Instagram to applaud Allin’s achievement, posting the following message:
“HUGE congrats to my boy @darbyallin on his amazing accomplishment! And thanks for throwing up the Diamond Cutter at the top of the world,” DDP said in a post.
