Gabe Kidd announces his injury at night two of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Climax 35.
Gabe Kidd revealed during Night Two of NJPW’s G1 Climax 35 that he injured his knee and would miss his scheduled match against Zack Sabre Jr. He walked to the ring on crutches at Sunday’s event and explained that he hyperextended his knee.
On night one, Gabe Kidd had competed the night before against Konosuke Takeshita, where he lost by submission. Despite the injury, Kidd made it clear he isn’t giving up. He said he wants to return as soon as he’s able to compete again and asked NJPW to put him back in the tournament.
Gabe Kidd said, “But I know one thing when I can walk again, when I can fight again, it’s over for all you f**kers. It’s over for every single one of you. This was supposed to be my G1. I’m not saying I’m out of the G1. The minute I’m ready to go again put me back. I’m ready to go. Listen this is everything to me. Performing for these people everything to me. Performing for you. Performing for the people at home, this is my life, this is everything to me.”
