Alexa Bliss says her pairing with WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair came about very randomly.
In a recent interview with Scott Fishman for TV Insider, Alexa Bliss opened up about how her unexpected partnership with Charlotte Flair began. She said the pairing came out of nowhere but turned out to be a lot of fun. Both of them enjoyed showing different sides of themselves in the ring.
She said, “It came about very randomly, but it has been so much fun. It’s fun to see a different side of both of us. We’re just out there having fun and trying what works and seeing what doesn’t. It has just been showing a side of Charlotte that people don’t normally get to see.”
Over the last few months, WWE teased the idea of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss becoming a team. They made it clear they’re not close friends and don’t like using the word “F” to describe their tag team.
Following getting paired together on TV, fans quickly began supporting them. During the Women’s Tag Team Match at WWE Evolution, the fans loudly cheered for the duo. Charlotte Flair, who often gets booed even when she is playing a babyface, was clearly surprised by the fan support.
At WWE SummerSlam, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss faced Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Flair and Bliss defeated Rodriguez and Perez to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in the MetLife Stadium.
