WWE has officially confirmed the return of a familiar face, airing a cryptic vignette on the July 13 episode of RAW that points to a comeback just one night after SummerSlam.
While the teaser answered one major question, it also left another hanging in the balance.
The vignette centered around former WWE star Big Cass, marking the first official confirmation of his return after weeks of speculation.
Big Cass return teased for August 3 edition of WWE RAW
The video featured blurred archive footage from Cass’ original WWE run, along with shots of fans wearing Enzo and Cass merchandise. A voiceover asked two pointed questions before revealing the expected return date.
“What happens when the whole world calls you ‘Can’t Miss?'”
“What happens when the whole world is wrong?”
The teaser concluded with a silhouette of Cass standing in front of the date “8/3,” signaling his return on the August 3rd episode of RAW — the first show following SummerSlam.
The vignette comes after reports in late May suggested WWE was interested in bringing both Big Cass and Enzo Amore back to the company. However, Monday night’s video focused exclusively on Cass, with no mention of his longtime tag team partner.
Cass originally competed in WWE from 2011 to 2018 before joining AEW in 2022, where he performed as W. Morrissey and later Big Bill. During his AEW run, he captured the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Ricky Starks and also became part of Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree faction.
Although speculation continues about a possible reunion with Enzo Amore, WWE has yet to confirm any plans beyond Cass’ return. For now, the company has kept the spotlight firmly on the seven-footer.
With the RAW after SummerSlam often serving as the launchpad for new stories, Big Cass now appears set for another opportunity under the WWE banner. Whether he returns alone or eventually hears his old partner’s introduction remains unanswered, but one thing is clear — this comeback is no longer just a rumor, and fans won’t have to wait much longer for the next chapter.
