Is WWE really planning to hold two WrestleMania events in 2027?
Earlier this week, Saudi General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh took to social media to tease a major entertainment event for 2027. Later, hinting to a fan with emojis that it potentially had something to do with WrestleMania.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp first reported something of this nature possibly taking place back at the end of May. We now have more information on what all this might entail.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, people in the country believe that the event is, in fact, WrestleMania. With people in power over there pushing for The Rock to headline the event.
It’s been well known that Saudi Arabia has been pushing for a WrestleMania for years now, and history shows that they are willing to pay a giant fee to get it. This could also turn into a “Super WrestleMania” situation, akin to the Greatest Royal Rumble, by having two WrestleManias in 2027 instead of one.
